World Environment Day 2026 Observed with Plantation Programme and Environmental Awareness Rally at Bhomrabil, Kokrajhar

Green Leaf Foundation, Gossaigaon in collaboration with Bhomrabil H.E. School successfully organised a Plantation Programme and Environmental Awareness Rally on the occasion of World Environment Day 2026 on 5 June 2026 under the theme “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” at Bhomrabil H.E. School Campus, Gossaigaon, Kokrajhar, Assam. The programme witnessed active participation from students, teachers, community members and representatives of Green Leaf Foundation. The event was attended by Khan Abdul Hamid, Head Master, Bhomrabil H.E. School, Tofazzal Hussain Khan, Head Master I/c, Bhomrabil M.E. School, Mizanur Rahman, President of Green Leaf Foundation, Abu Taher Bhuyan and other representatives of the Foundation. As part of the celebration, an Environmental Awareness Rally was organised across Bhomrabil No-2, Palashguri No-2 and Serfanguri No-1 villages. Around 200 students, teachers and local residents participated in the rally carrying placards and environmental awareness slogans to promote conservation, cleanliness and sustainable environmental practices. Following the rally, a plantation programme was conducted at Bhomrabil H.E. School and Bhomrabil M.E. School campuses where 100 saplings were planted. The initiative aimed to encourage environmental responsibility, community participation and awareness among young students and local residents. The programme reflected the collective commitment of educational institutions, civil society organisations and local communities towards environmental protection and sustainable development. Green Leaf Foundation expressed gratitude to all participants, school authorities, volunteers and community members for their support and active involvement in making the programme successful.
